Scitax Advisory Partners: Managing director David Hearn has 15 years of experience in SR&ED and heads a team of nine senior engineers plus one biochemist. Scitax does not itself offer tax preparation services, rather the business model is to provide specialist services focused on the technical aspects of SR&ED process working in concert with client's existing tax advisors. Services available from Scitax include identifying eligible SR&ED, writing project technical descriptions, audit support and negotiating claim settlements with CRA. Scitax also has expertise in "appeals" of rejected SR&ED claims through notice of objection and can provide expert science witnesses for tax court actions.
